Carlos Xavier, Founder
The Living Room was founded by Carlos Xavier after more than twenty-five years working in luxury hospitality, private estates and exceptional guest service around the world.
From managing some of Europe's finest private estates to overseeing guest experiences at award-winning resorts, Carlos has dedicated his career to understanding what makes a stay truly extraordinary.
A Different Vision
Through decades of experience across some of the world's finest properties, Carlos recognised that the most memorable stays are never defined by thread count or star ratings — they are defined by the feeling of being genuinely cared for, of arriving somewhere extraordinary and immediately feeling at home.
That insight became the foundation of The Living Room: a company built on the belief that the best travel experiences emerge from the intersection of exceptional homes, deep local knowledge and authentic human connection.
